RII50520 - Diploma of Civil Construction Design This nationally recognised qualification develops the technical and coordination skills required to plan, design and draft civil construction projects. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Civil Construction Designer or Draftsperson, contributing to infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, subdivisions and other public works. Training covers design software, modelling, standards compliance and project documentation.

  • Achieve a nationally recognised qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

  • Open career opportunities as a civil designer, draftsperson, or project support officer.

There are no specific prerequisites specified in the training package for this qualification. 


RTO Requirements for International Students

To be eligible for enrolment at Norton Institute, international students must:

Be 18 years of age or older.

Provide evidence of academic and English language proficiency.


Academic Requirements:

Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent).


English Language Requirements:

IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or an equivalent recognised English language test result.


Upon successful completion of all required units, students will be awarded the RII50520 Diploma of Civil Construction Design.

Students who do not complete all units may receive a Statement of Attainment for the units successfully achieved.

Face-to-Face learning

Graduates of this qualification may progress to the RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design or pursue entry into a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or related university degree. It also opens career opportunities in civil drafting, project design support, and specialised areas within construction design.
