There are no specific prerequisites specified in the training package for this qualification. RTO Requirements for International Students To be eligible for enrolment at Norton Institute into the BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management all international students must be 18 years old or older and exhibit evidence of academic and English language proficiency as follows:
Academic Requirements:

Credit Transfer:
Norton Institute will assess every individual application to BSB50420 and provide recognition through a Credit Transfer arrangement for the expected units of competency.
English Language Requirements:
Academic IELTS 5.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.0 in each band, or upper intermediate, or EAP from an accredited ELICOS/ESL centre
Any AQF certification at the Certificate III level or above delivered and assessed in English solely will be considered to meet both the academic and English language admission requirements.
We make your course materials available to you via eLearning (Moodle platform) and course handouts. The cost of the course materials is $200.
If you want, you can purchase the course materials and workbooks. We have computers and student access at College, and necessary software (for example, Microsoft suite) is installed on college computers for students to utilize. We expect pupils to have basic computing abilities. We provide training on how to use our Online platform during orientation and at the start of the course.
For each subject, students must complete a variety of evaluation assignments. As a general rule, you will require up to 20 hours per unit outside of class to complete your evaluations. Some assessments are tests and practicals completed in class.

RPL and credit transfer (CT) can be sought for at the time of enrollment or at orientation, with the original or certified copy required. For determining your RPL status or performing your credit transfer, you must pay a charge. Please see our price lists in the manual and on our website for further information. International students may have their course and visa shortened if credit is given.
You will gain a nationally recognized qualification in BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management upon successful completion of all required units of this course. Students who do not complete all required units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of a BSB50420 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

At the Norton Institute, both local and international students have access to essential resources, including a state-of-the-art computer lab with internet, important IT software, a data projector, a borrowing service for resources, printing, copying facilities, and a dedicated student common area.
The Diploma of Leadership and Management course is spread out over four terms and lasts 78 weeks.
We use a hybrid delivery method that combines on-campus classroom instruction with online instruction. Online structured learning: An extra 5 hours per week is set aside outside of class time for revising and practicing to reinforce classroom learning. Online learning is organized by unit so that you can easily explore and work through each unit of study. Depending on your level of trust in the topics, some people will move through the material more rapidly than others. Learning in the classroom: In this mixed method, we provide face-to-face instruction for 15 hours per week, augmented by organized online learning for 5 hours per week. The trainers will explain how the sessions will operate for 15 hours weekly in the classroom once you begin the course. Classroom learning consists of lectures accompanied by PowerPoint presentations and visual topic content. There will be plenty of practice time for group and oral work.
