RTO Requirements for International Students 


To be eligible for enrolment at Norton Institute into the BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) all international applicants must be 18 years old or older and exhibit evidence of academic and English language proficiency as follows:


Academic Requirements:

Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent.

English Language Requirements:

Be competent in written and spoken English with an IELTS Score of no less than 6.0 or equivalent language test score.


As part of the requirements for each unit's assessment, students must complete a variety of assignments. Outside of class time, each unit evaluation requires between 9 to 20 hours. Some such assessment techniques are:

There may be a variety of tasks and methods used to obtain proof of expertise within the Projects, such as:

  • Practical demonstrations observed by the Assessor

  • Business simulations

RPL and credit transfer (CT) can be applied for at the time of enrollment or at orientation, and the original or certified copy must be submitted. A cost is payable for assessing your RPL status or processing your credit transfer; please see our price lists in the manual and on our website for further information. If credit is granted, international students may have their course and visa shortened.

Students will gain a nationally recognized certification in BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) upon successful completion of all required units of this program. Students who do not complete all required units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of a BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning).

Blended (Face to Face + Online)

The Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) course duration is 54 weeks spread over 4 terms. 

The delivery method is a mixed one that combines in-person and online delivery. Classroom Learning: In this mixed mode, we perform face-to-face instruction for 15 hours a week and 5 hours a week of organized online study. The instructors will go over the 15 hours per week of classroom instruction after beginning the course. In classroom instruction, they will get PowerPoint-supported lectures and visual topic material with practice time, group projects, and oral presentations. Structured Online Learning: An additional 5 hours per week are scheduled outside of class where you can review and practice to reinforce what you learned in class. It is simple for students to explore and then complete each unit of study because of online learning and organized topics. Few people go through the material faster, while others may take a little longer, depending on their confidence.
